The Hospice Thrift store invites groups and corporations to volunteer with us. By dedicating just two hours of your time, your team can contribute to our mission of supporting the best possible end-of-life care.
As participants of the “Threads of Compassion” group volunteer program, your group will have the opportunity to engage in a hands-on volunteering experience at the Hospice Thrift Store.
During your two-hour volunteering session, your team will be tasked with sorting and organizing the donated clothes. This crucial task ensures that our thrift store remains well-stocked and presents a welcoming shopping experience for our valued customers. By taking part in this program, you will help us provide affordable and fashionable clothing options to the community while supporting compassionate end-of-life care.
What to Expect
Before arriving at the store your team will receive a brief one pager outlining the expectations and process for the day. Upon arrival, our dedicated staff will provide your team with a warm welcome and a brief orientation to familiarize you with our thrift store’s operations and safety guidelines. We will provide all the necessary equipment, such as gloves, hangers, and sorting bins, to facilitate the sorting process. Our team members will be available to answer any questions and provide guidance throughout the volunteer session.
Sorting clothes involves categorizing items based on type, size, and condition. You will work as a team, collaborating and communicating to efficiently organize the clothes into their respective sections.
At the end of the volunteer session each participant will receive a 15% discount on all in store items.
